The 78 two-person academic policy debate teams that qualify to attend the 67th annual National Debate Tournament represent the very best in the entire nation. They will be accompanied by more than 200 of the most acclaimed policy debate directors, coaches, and judges, representing the very finest universities in the United States. Weber State University also welcomes the Weber State Debate alums, university faculty and staff and community members who will attend this important event.
Weber State University is proud to have been selected as the host site, and we are grateful that the intercollegiate policy debate community will be in Ogden to help us celebrate our 90th anniversary as a college debate team. It has been 25 years since Weber State held the 42nd annual National Debate Tournament in 1988. In 2013, our goal is for our guests to leave with an indelibly positive impression of the city of Ogden and our campus here at Weber State.
On behalf of Weber State Debate, the Department of Communication, The Telitha E. Lindquist College of Arts & Humanities, and all of Weber State University, let me be the first to welcome you to Ogden, Utah.
